Iain is a founder director of CH+MRP Architects.
CH+MRP Architects is a West End architectural practice created through a merger of two experienced and well known firms. This comprises MR Partnership, a long established West End firm and CH Architects a progressive design led practice established in 2003. CH+MRP has an active portfolio of mixed use developments ranging from private houses and flats, sheltered housing, adaptable independent living units for adults with learning difficulties to commercial offices, retail, religious buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, railway infrastructure and performing arts spaces.
CH+MRP work together as a team in close collaboration with our clients to create bespoke solutions developed from an appreciation of physical and historical context. The success at which this is achieved is borne out by the fact that over 80% of our work is derived from repeat commissions.
Working together in our combined studio, CH+MRP architects have the unique benefit of combining nearly 60 years of experience, and are able to offer the resources of a much larger practice with all the benefits and close working relationship of a small boutique studio.

This is a somewhat overdue letter of thanks for all the help and skill you gave us over the West Street Flats. I realise what a challenge it was getting the planning permission for a listed building in the heart of London but you showed such patience and nursed us through the various stages so skilfully it was not even very painful! I know the Rector and Treasurer are as grateful as I am.
I am hopeful that as soon as we have managed to amass some money together we will go ahead with the extra flat. The talk is certainly very positive in that direction. I do hope it happens while I am still Church Warden – I would love to see the project completed while I had some say in it. Fingers crossed.
Thank you too for all the interest you have shown in the gallery and in particular for showing some of our prints in your sheltered housing project in Hackney. That was such a good shop window for us and I hope we can repeat it at some point. I so appreciate you bringing in colleagues to our gallery and encouraging them to put art in their varied projects – it has been a great help to us and financially beneficial. We are deeply grateful.
